Scholarships

Sacrifice to Church, family and complete strangers exemplify the spirit of the Robert F. Hueston Scholarship Fund’s goal to encourage the educational and spiritual development of a new generation.

In the seven years since the Fund was established, 13 students have received a total of $34,200 in scholarships. As the endowment fund grows, so does the opportunity to help more students from St. John the Baptist Parish attend the Regina Academy where “knowing, loving and serving God becomes integrated with the pursuit of knowledge (and), a student is launched on a life-long journey for truth and beauty.”

Robert Hueston lived his life knowing, loving and serving God. His personal motto: In hoc signo vinces – In this sign (the Cross) thou shalt conquer.

The Fund again honors Robert’s legacy in the 2026-27 academic year by awarding $2,600 scholarships to Victoria Rinker and Riley Bailey, students of The Regina Academy at St. John the Baptist.
